how to make Million Dollar Bacon

Million dollar bacon is sweet and spicy candied bacon. This oven-baked dish is a brunch showstopper!

Gather ingredients

Thick-cut bacon

Brown sugar

Crushed red chile flakes

Ground cayenne pepper

Ground black pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil, using two overlapping pieces if needed. Lay an oven-safe cooling rack on top.

In a bowl, combine brown sugar, cayenne, chile flakes, and pepper.

Separate the bacon and add to the bowl. Toss together until the pieces are coated on both sides.

Lay slices on prepared baking sheet. Slices can touch, but do not overlap.

Spoon any extra seasoning onto the slices. Bake for 30 minutes.

Let bacon cool on the pan for 10 minutes to let the coating harden.

Serve with pancakes, on top of a burger, or as a bloody mary garnish!
