how to make bacon wrapped asparagus

This simple side dish only requires a few ingredients but packs big flavor into each bite!

Gather ingredients

Fresh asparagus

Olive oil

Pepper

Salt

Uncooked bacon strips

Trim woody ends from asparagus, then toss with olive oil.

Sprinkle on salt and pepper and toss to coat.

Gather three or four asparagus stalks and one slice of bacon. Wrap the bacon tightly around the asparagus, making sure to overlap the starting end so it doesn't unwrap.

Repeat with remaining asparagus and bacon. Set each bundle with the loose end down on a rimmed baking sheet.

Bake in a 400 degree oven for 25-30 minutes, until the bacon has crisped and asparagus is tender.

You can finish the dish with a drizzle of hot honey, grated parmesan, or serve as is!
